After the Sept. 28, 2017 kitchen fire demolished the interior of The Lancaster Dispensing Company, we rebuilt it — preserving the character of the historic brick building in the heart of Lancaster City, with a complete rebuild of the commercial kitchen and the dining rooms brought back to their original look and feel.

The Lancaster Dispensing Company has been part of downtown Lancaster's restaurant scene since 1978. When a kitchen fire on Sept. 28, 2017 demolished the interior, we were brought in to rebuild — preserving the character of the historic brick building in the heart of Lancaster City, completing a full rebuild of the commercial kitchen, and bringing the dining rooms back to the original look and feel.
The historic brick exterior survived and was preserved. Inside, the kitchen was rebuilt from the studs out: new cooking line, new dining areas, new bar, new restrooms, new finishes throughout. Where original character could be saved, we saved it. Where it was beyond saving, we rebuilt to feel like it had always been there.
The Dispensing Co. reopened to its regulars and quickly went back to doing what it had been doing for forty years.
